Snow? Mud? Sludge? See How Easy These Garage Floors Come Clean

3 Steps To Clean with Ease During The Messiest Season in Colorado

Colorado "Mud Season” is our (less than) affectionate name for the transition from winter to spring where freezing temperatures and snow storms can give way to warm weather and sunshine and back again…sometimes in the course of the same day (or hour!).

Our beautiful Colorado weather produces a variety of climates we enjoy, all which also produce an array of debris that end up in your garage. From snow and ice to mud and sludge, our winter weather is harsh on your garage. Traditional concrete floors – even in the best of shape – absorb these elements making them messy and wet. Cleaning this sometimes constant mess can be time consuming with a traditional concrete floor and are made worse with any common cracks, damages and imperfections in its surface.

One of the best (of many) benefits of polyaspartic flooring in your garage is the ease of cleaning. Not only is a CGS Floor System durable, but it is also moisture resistant and can easily be shoveled, swept, moped, squeegeed or vacuumed. The finish also protects the flooring against certain solvents and salts. Even if you don’t use these chemicals on your driveway or around your home, your car can bring them into your garage. Even more, polyaspartic floor coating has a much stronger bond to the concrete and is UV-resistant so it won’t peel or yellow over time due to Colorado’s natural elements.

Simple sweeping with a microfiber dust mop or soft-bristled broom to clean your floor is all it takes most days of the year. But when winter provides the dreaded sludge, a CGS Floor System takes three simple steps to clean - and a garden hose is nowhere on the list! These steps will have your floor looking like the day it was installed for years to come.

  1. Remove all sludge, ice and snow with a snow shovel

  2. Squeegee all excess water out of the garage

  3. Mop with a microfiber or standard mop

With the three easy steps above, your garage floor is clean, ultimately making the interior of your home cleaner too! We know better than anyone that the garage is an extension of your home so no more piles of sludge in your garage means a cleaner environment not just inside your garage, but throughout your home.

When it comes to the combination of high quality and low maintenance flooring, a polyaspartic CGS Floor System is simply the best choice for your garage floor no matter where you live. But in Colorado? The choice is clear…and easy to clean.
